Franklin Graham Speaks To Standing Ovation Crowd On Capitol Hill-National Day of Prayer

A standing ovation greeted preacher Franklin Graham as he took the podium at the National Day of Prayer on Capitol Hill on Thursday to give the keynote address.

Jesus Christ, and Franklin Graham, have been in the news a lot these days, thanks to Obama and his Islamic friends revoking the Rev. Graham’s participation inside the Pentagon National Day of Prayer fiasco.

But no one, or anything, not Obama or the Pentagon, or Islam can stop the plans of the one true God from going forth. Jesus said:

• I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18

Graham did not back down from criticism that he had disparaged Muslims, telling the crowd that he is a Christian minister who preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Regarding the judge who ruled the National Day of Prayer unconstitutional, the Rev. Graham said that

The great Jewish Apostle of Christ, Peter, reminds us in I Peter 4:12-16

12Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Sometimes,bearing the cross God has called us to bear and rejoicing is not easy. But, just as Jesus bore The Cross of shame and rejection, He looked beyond its shame and saw the joy that would be His. We too can know this same joy and know that God has a higher purpose for all of our trials if we keep our eyes on Jesus, and look beyond the trial and rejoice.

Despite being banned from the Pentagon prayer fiasco, Franklin Graham showed up at the Pentagon anyway.

Thank God for pastors like Franklin Graham,who know that you don't need the government's or Obama's permission to pray anywhere,anytime.God bless this man for speaking out and speaking the truth about Islam.

All I have to say to this latest fiasco of banning this righteous preacher of the Gospel of Christ, engineered by Obama and his Islamic friends is "He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh."

He continued: “It seems as though Muslims are getting a pass. And you look at the violence that they have portrayed against women. It's just horrific. If you just take women alone … And I just don't understand why the president would be giving Islam a pass.

"We certainly love the Muslim people," Graham went on to say. "But that is not the faith of this country. And that is not the religion that built this nation. Which Bible? King James Version vs. NIV

Which Bible are you using? Do you use a King James Version or an NIV Bible? Or something else? I ask this because you’ve got to be extremely careful in which Bible you choose to read and study from.

I admit, at one time, occasionally I would read my NIV, but since I heard about the major discrepencies in the NIV Bible compared to the Authorized King James Version, I stick to my Authorized King James Version only. And here’s why. I discovered after checking into this myself that there were entire verses deleted from the NIV Bible that have been in the King James Version since its translation in 1611, or 400 years next year, and I was shocked. Jesus is Lord.com has documented these verses, over 40 in all, which I have listed below. If you have an Authorized Kings James Version and an NIV Bible, check it out yourself, and don’t depend upon your NIV if you are reading it. This is enough for me to trash the NIV.

Compare the NIV reading with the following Jehovah's Witness reading--

What are you NIV readers missing? What does the real Bible say?
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

This is one of the GREATEST verses testifying of the trinity. That is why the Jehovah's Witnesses leave it out. They do not believe in the trinity and they do not believe that Jesus is God. Why does the NIV leave it out...? Whole books have been written on the manuscript evidence that supports inclusion of this verse in the Bible. Reader, do you believe in the triunity of God? If so, then this deletion should offend you. People are wresting and perverting the scriptures to their own destruction.

Israel: Samaritans Perform Passover Sacrifices

Israel National News is reporting that a small group of Samaritans performed the Old Testament Biblical Passover sacrifice by slaughtering 35 sheep that were offered in a way very similar to that prescribed in the Torah, for sacrifices at the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Read full article at link.

Remember, in Jesus' time, while animal sacrifices were carried out in the Temple in Jerusalem, the Jewish religion, and the Law of Moses was not based upon what we know as the Old Testament, or Old Covenant, or even what the Jewish people refer to as Torah; but on the tradition of the Pharisees and what was written in the oral law, known as the Talmud today. This is the reason Jesus was constantly at odds with the Jewish Pharisees, or teachers of "the law" and rebuking them harshly. They weren't following the Laws of Moses, but traditions of men.

In Judaism, Rabbis will tell you that they follow the teachings of Moses, or "the Law" but according to the Books of Moses, God required the blood of animals to atone for sin. Without blood, there is no atonement. Leviticus 17:11 says “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”

So, the question that needs to be asked is what have the Rabbis been doing for the last 2,000 or so years to atone for the souls of the Jewish people since the Temple was destroyed in 70AD shortly after the death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who prophesied that the Jewish Temple would be destroyed, and with its destruction, the sacrificial system ended once and for all?

Truth is, Hebrews Chapter 10:11 tells us that the blood of bulls and goats and animals could never atone or take away sin permanently and that is the reason God sent His Son Jesus to atone for the sins of all once and for all.

“And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

But this man (Jesus Christ), after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God.” Hebrews 10:11,12

Israel was given the blood of Jesus Christ to atone for its sins and that is why the Jewish Temple was destroyed. The slaughtering of the Old Testament animals was a foreshadow of the work that Jesus Christ did at Calvary and He is our Passover Lamb. Jesus, or Yeshua is the New Covenant that the Hebrew prophet speaks of in Jeremiah 31:31-34:

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a NEW covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jeremiah 31:32 NOT according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The Old Covenent with animal sacrifices to atone for sin is now obsolete and unacceptable to God.

Hebrews 8:13 tells us “A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.” Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. Hebrews 8:6

NEW YORK - Authorities arrested a suspect in the attempted weekend car bombing in Times Square, NBC News' justice correspondent Pete Williams reported early Tuesday morning.

A U.S. citizen of Pakistani descent, Shahzad Faisal, was trying to leave the country Monday night at John F Kennedy International Airport when he was picked up by Customs and Border Protection agents, Williams reported.

New York Times Square Bomb: Three Passengers Removed Fom Dubai Flight

On a sidenote here, Gateway Pundit is reporting that this terrorist is a registered Democrat in the state of Connecticut.

We can be very thankful to the Lord that this muslim was unsuccessful in causing a car bomb explosion in New York’s Time Square that could have killed many innocent people, and that the proper people in NYC were alert and intercepted his attempts, and that he was apprehended promptly.

As millions of others have done, this muslim needs to repent of his sins and surrender his life over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, who died for his sins to save him. Prayer changes things. Jesus can save anybody no matter what they have done. Let’s pray that this muslim, surrenders his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ , who said: Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The Bible tells everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, for sin is lawlessness in 1 John 3:4. What we see happening from protesters in San Francisco and other cities around America protesting against the illegal immigration law recently instituted in Arizona is widespread lawlessness.

When the government of the United States of America, which Arizona has fashioned it’s anti illegal immigration law after, does not enforce the Federal Law already in place concerning illegal immigration, and refuses to protect those in America legally, those obeying the law, and innocent people are getting hurt, the government and its people are practicing lawlessness and sinning against God.

2:Thessalonians 2:7 tells us that the mystery of iniquity already is at work and will continue until the man of sin is revealed. Jesus forewarned us in Matthew 24:7 that in the last days, nation would rise against nation, or ethnic group against ethnic group, and we are seeing this all over the world as well as in the United States of America because governments and people around the world are practicing lawlessness and sinning against God.

I think these are very telling pictures. One shows a protester's march against Arizona's new illegal immigration law, the other a taxpayers march on Washington, with the Capitol Bldg. in view in September of 2009 that clearly confirm the perilous times we are living in.

As we see world events shaping into precisely what the Word of God tells us will happen in the last days which will usher in the reign of the man of sin, we can be assurred the our God has everything under His control, and we need not fear, even unto death. But instead, we look for with great anticipation that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13.
