If you like archeaology finds, you'll like this.I found these precious artifacts at ReligioPoliticalTalk,and according to the blog author, are among the oldest messianic symbols today.
These artifacts are believed to be from the 1st Century baptismal of James the Just and the Apostles. They were found on Mount Zion, Jerusalem.
James was the brother of Jesus, and is described as the leader of the first Nazarene Messianic church.
"In 1963, a small ceremonial silver thin plate was found in the Judean Desert near Jerusalem that dated back to the first Century. A Catholic priest and archaeologist named Emanuel Testa deciphered the Aramaic text of this artifact, the first line of which reads: "For the Oil of the Spirit."
Testa was amazed to find that the text was nearly identical to James 5:14-16. More at link.
JERUSALEM - A pivotal court case takes place this week in a trial involving the rights of Messianic Jews in Israel.
In December 2005, hundreds of ultra-Orthodox Jews in Beersheva stormed a congregation of Messianic Jews - Jews who believe Jesus is the Jewish Messiah.
The attackers violently disrupted a baptismal service and police found it difficult to restore order.
It wasn't the first time the congregation had been harassed. The attack eventually led the Messianic Jews to bring Beersheva's chief rabbi and the regional head of a group called Yad L'achim to court.
Please remember to pray for Maryam and Marzieh whose suffering in the Iranian prison system I wrote about here, who converted to Christianity from Islam and are now being tried for apostasy after spending months of abuse and torture in Iran’s Evin prison. Please pray that the judge will find favor toward these two Christian sisters who have endured intense persecution for our Lord; May the Lord strengthen these two women and speak through them at their trial and protect them from their persecutors in Jesus name….
It kinda looks like from this story where the Elmira NY police arrested an innocent man for praying do not have anything to do except waste tax payer’s money on bogus arrests and jail time, and attorney fees. Since when is it a crime to pray, Mr. Policeman? And it certainly looks as if the Elmira NY police are “profiling” harmless, praying Christians rather than going after the real criminals. This must make the people of Elmira feel real safe. Maybe it would be a good idea for the entire Elmira Police Force to take a crash course about the Constitutional rights of Elmira’s citizens who pay their wages rather than waste the taxpayer’s money in paying attorney fee’s for unnecessary law suits against the City Police.

Today is Holocaust Rememberance Day. Throughout Israel heads are bowed as the nation marks Holocaust Remembrance Day and remembers the six million murdered by the Nazis during the Second World War. During a commemoration ceremony held Sunday at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke of the lessons of the Holocaust and the Iranian threat. Story here
As Iran threatens Israel and the world with nukes and the world remains silent, and Obama hosts what would have been an ambush Israel summit if P M Netanyahu had not changed his plans and decideded not to attend, Netanyahu spoke of the Holocaust and the Iranian threat instead. Wise choice. Now that the illusive Bilderberg Group, who has been working on a one world government system for years, is out in the open, and we know that they are real, James P. Tucker, Jr. who has been following the group around for years, is reporting on their upcoming agenda. For those who don’t know, James P. Tucker Jr. is a veteran journalist who spent many years as a member of the “elite” media in Washington. Since 1975 he has won widespread recognition, here and abroad, for his pursuit of on-the-scene stories reporting the intrigues of global power blocs such as the Bilderberg Group.
In his most recent update, Mr. Tucker writes that the Bilderberg Group will meet in Spain June 3-6 and the group hopes to keep the global recession going for at least a year; and Bilderberg’s ultimate goal remains unchanged: Turn the UN into a world government with “nation-states” becoming merely geographic references.

I don’t know too much about the writer of this gem except that he is a writer, author, economist and researcher, but he seems to know what he is talking about, and has done his research. Afterall, why would F. William Engdahl make up a story about Bill Gates Talks About 'Vaccines To Reduce Population?'
In the article, dateded March 4, 2010, Mr Engdahl goes on to say “In plain English, one of the most powerful men in the world states clearly that he expects vaccines to be used to reduce population growth. When Bill Gates speaks about vaccines, he speaks with authority. In January 2010 at the elite Davos World Economic Forum, Gates announced his foundation would give $10 billion (circa €7.5 billion) over the next decade to develop and deliver new vaccines to children in the developing world. 2
Gates declares, "First we got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That's headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent."1 (author’s emphasis). This sounds as if it could very well be a part of what will take place when the fourth seal of Revelation is opened, if not before.

Holly, from Fulfilled Prophecy, has a very interesting article up that caught my eye today which indicates the Western European Union 10 Nation Alliance is about to dissolve.
The Western European Union released a declaration Wednesday, stating that its 10-nation military alliance has agreed to dissolve itself. Plans are being made to end the alliance, preferably by the end of June 2011.
What does this mean for those of us who have wondered if these 10 nations could be the 10 kings of Bible prophecy? We have to wait and see.
Remember that the 10 nations have just one reason to exist — to give their power and authority to the beast (Revelation 17:13). Once they’ve served their purpose, then they will exit the world stage. Read the rest at Fulfilled Prophecy.

One of America’s greatest friends since the fall of communism ,Poland, has lost its President Lech Kaczynski and several of Poland’s top leaders and officials in a plane crash over Russia..
This is an incredible tragedy and our prayers and love are going up to the Father for the people of Poland and that the Lord’s will be done in Poland as a result of this tragedy.
Russian and Polish officials said there were no survivors on the Soviet-era Tupolev, which was taking the president, his wife and staff to events marking the 70th anniversary of the massacre of thousands of Polish officers by Soviet secret police.

How ironic a plane crash killing all of Poland's top officials aboard over Russia who were enroute to attend the 70th anniversary of a massacre of thousands of Poles by the Russian secret police.
I came across a very informative, but troubling article at Lighthouse Trails Research today that I got to tell you about. This news is very distressing to me because several years ago I sponsored children through World Vision. The well known Christian organization and whose mission is to follow our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, World Vision, promotes emerging church and new age spirituality leader Brian McLaren, Is there anything left that hasn’t been infiltrated and poisoned by false doctrine? You really gotta check every organization out today to make sure that you are not giving to someone or something that promotes anti-Christian teachings such as emerging church and new age spirituality or anyone or anything that endorses and promotes this. Because an organizations says it is Christian doesn't make it so.
