More False Teaching Affiliated With ELCA (Evangelican Luthern Church of America)

More false teaching from the ELCA, or Evangelical Luthern Church of America, is being exposed

Dr. David J Lull, who is a professor of New Testament Theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Iowa , which is an affiliate of the controversial ELCA, or Evangelical Luthern Church of America thinks Jesus did not have to die as a condition of God’s forgiveness of sins, and passes this on to the seminary students, or future pastors. In Exposing The ELCA, a former seminary student and now ELCA member who is fed up with the ELCA's consistent mockery of God's Word, the writer tells us to take a look at what Lull has written on page 1 of his lecture lesson

• "I can’t get past the idea that God had a thirst for innocent blood that had to be quenched,or that God's justice required a death penalty for sinners until Jesus' death satisfied God's wrath. Even if Bible passages can be made to support these ideas...."

Does the foregoing sound like it is coming from a man of faith, filled with God's Holy Spirit, who has read all of and has a basic understanding God's Salvation Message and is committed to defending it, or a secular huminist? The obvious is clear.

If you or anyone you are closely associated with is a member of this apostate church or seminary, it would be wise to get out and save your soul before it is too late because you are receiving false teaching, because the New Testament as well as the Old Testament teaches us over and over that Jesus had to die to atone for the sins of the human race. No if's, ands or buts. This is a core teaching of Biblical Christianity.

The Apostle Paul emphasized in I Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified;unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness.

No Agreement To Jerusalem Construction Freeze

There is not now and never was an agreement to freeze Jerusalem construction. Apparently, Obama’s envoy George Mitchell’s statement that P.M. Netanyahu had agreed to suspend building in East Jerusalem is a fantasy. No such agreement was ever made,according to FM Avigdor Lieberman, and comments made by the Prime Minister himself. Israel has not agreed to freeze construction in east Jerusalem, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told reporters in Tokyo on Wednesday. He said life in the capital would continue as in any other city in Israel.

Similar comments were recently made by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, despite US envoy George Mitchell's announcement that proximity talks with the Palestinians had begun and are based on an Israeli promise not to build in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo.

Meanwhile,in a separate story from the Jerusalem Post commemorating the liberation and reunification of Jerusalem, the Prime Minister has declared that

Jerusalem Day is the day on which Jerusalem was finally liberated, and was able to take all of its residents, Jewish and Arab, under its wings," Netanyahu said. "Never again shall it be suffocated, gloomy or divided."

"I believe that we will achieve peace, but whoever suggests that the problems with the peace process are really based on a problem with Jerusalem, we will remind them that [Jerusalem] was once divided, but [nevertheless] war raged there," he said.

Of Jerusalem, Jesus tells us in Luke's Gospel 21:24 that the city will be trodden down of the Gentiles until He Himself returns to liberate His City of Jerusalem once and for all, and dwell among His people in the Temple that will be rebuilt,because God is a jealous God over His City Jerusalem. Sunday Church Services Prohibited in San Antonio’s Leon Valley

Because the city code excludes religious assemblies from certain zoning areas because they decrease city tax revenue and interfere with commercial activity, Sunday church services are now prohibited in San Antonio’s Leon Valley. Who ever heard of such a crazy thing? What about First Amendment rights? The Constitution? Freedom of assembly? It’s mind boggling what is going on in this country.

What do the Holy Scriptures Say About This?

First of all, the Holy Scriptures tell us that the first disciples of Jesus were all Jewish, and kept their Jewish culture and customs by keeping the Sabbath, or last day of the week according to Jewish customs. The Scriptures even note in Luke 23:56 that Jesus’ female disciples rested on the Sabbath. The apostles of Christ were known to have taught in the Temple, and Paul routinely preached in synogogues on the Sabbaths as recorded in the book of Acts, but there is nothing recorded that the Apostle Paul instructed his converts to Christianity to keep the Sabbath, but instead taught that certain special days was something Christians should not be judged about as noted in Colossians 2:16.

There are also examples of the early New Testament church meeting on the first day of the week, or Sunday,after the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, but our Lord did not command this as a special day for the early Christians to meet and commemorate.

Bottom line, I don’t see where there is anything written in the Holy Scriptures that command Christians to meet to worship the Lord on any specific day of the week. In fact, the Scriptures do record in Acts 2:46-47 that the early New Testament Church met daily with one accord in the temple,and breaking bread from house to house and ate their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Maybe now is the right time to get back to early New Testament Christianity.

Tempting God

Have you ever wondered what it really means to tempt God? I have. In this short comparison from David Wilkerson, Pastor Wilkerson gives us a clear example so that we can undestand what Jesus meant when Jesus told Satan: It is written again:Thou shalt not tempt thy Lord thy God. Matthew 4:7

As Jesus stood at the highest point of the temple, Satan whispered to him, “Go ahead—jump! If you’re really God’s son, he’ll save you.”

“And [the devil] saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone” (Matthew 4:6).

Do you see Satan’s deviousness in this? He isolated a single promise from Scripture—and he tempted Jesus to cast his whole life upon it. He was suggesting, “You say God is with you. Well, show me the proof. Your Father has already allowed me to harass you. Where was his presence in that? You can prove he’s with you right now by jumping. If God is with you, he’ll provide a soft landing. Then you can base your confidence on that. If not, you might as well die rather than go on wondering if you’re on your own. You need a miracle to prove the Father is with you.”

How did Jesus respond? He stated, “It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God” (Matthew 4:7). What exactly does Jesus mean here by “tempting God”?

Ancient Israel is an example. Ten times the Lord had proved himself faithful to the Israelites. God’s people received visible proof that their Lord was with them. Yet, every time, the people asked the same question: “Is God among us or not?” God calls this “tempting him.” Jesus uses this same phrase—“tempting God”—in his reply to Satan. What does this tell us? It shows us it is a grave sin to doubt God’s presence; we’re not to question whether he’s with us.

As with Israel, God has already given us an entire body of evidence. First, we have in his Word multiple promises of his closeness to us. Second, we have our own personal history with God—a testimony of his many past deliverances in our lives. Third, we have a Bible full of witnesses to God’s presence in past centuries.

The Bible is clear: We’re to walk with God by faith and not by sight. Otherwise, we’ll end up like faithless Israel.

Teacher in California Says "God Bless America" Flag Drawing is Offensive

What appears to be a far radical left teacher in the American school system in California, this teacher has the arrogance to tell a 13 year old student her drawing of a "God Bless America" Flag was offensive. Maybe the teacher should leave America if she/he finds the American Flag and the Christian God offensive. What do you think? I didn't know it was a "teacher's" job to negatively indoctrinate a student against traditional American values or tell a student who obviously believes in God He is offensive.

Yet, this same teacher praised the drawing of another student of Obama. Huh?

Teachers like this is what is really offensive.

Netanyahu Caves On Jerusalem

I find this extremely difficult to believe and I think there may be more to this story than meets the eye. But I'll play the devil's advocate, presuming that the Prime Minister has said this......

The Prime Minister, who has said Jerusalem would not be divided, is sending the wrong message to Israel’s enemies who are celebrating because of what they see as a victory and who have already claimed East Jerusalem for its capitol of a “Palestinian State.” This makes me wonder what the Prime Minister was promised to make him cave into Obama's demands. Is Obama now going to support Israel on a strike on Iran's nukes which is a primary concern of Prime Minister Netanyahu? And where does his loyalty lie? God, in His written Word, has made it clear that the Land is not to be sold forever, because it belongs to Him. The Jews of Israel are merely God's tenant residing on the Land of Israel now, and God is their landlord. This means it cannot be traded as land for peace, or used as a bartering tool.

• The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me. Leviticus 25:23

Three hard questions demand answers:

1. If the Israeli prime minister can't stand by his solemn pledges to Israel and the Jewish people on Jerusalem, how much credibility can be attributed his other statements?
2. Is he made of tough enough material to withstand pressures, or does he have a built-in tendency to surrender when the going is rough?
3. This answer is critical when applied to matters of national security, such as the threats from Hizballah and a nuclear-armed Iran. More

Evangelical Groups to Walk 300 Miles for Creation

Huh? Am I reading this correctly? After reading the title to this article from The Christian Post, “Evangelical Groups To Walk 300 Miles For Creation,” I began to wonder what planet I was. Then I read the very next sentence, which reads:

“Several evangelical groups are sponsoring an 18-day pilgrimage across several states on the East Coast to raise awareness about environmental concerns.”

Where in the Scriptures are Christians called to march for the environment? This shows you just how apostate evangelical Christianity has become. Ministries involved in the walk include the Evangelical Environmental Network, Christians for the Mountains, and Renewal: Students Caring for Creation, among others.

These evangelical church leaders have no idea of the prophetic times we are living in or how it relates to God’s Holy Word, and have bought into the great man made climate change scam being presented to the world by the UN and worldly governments. Jesus never once commanded his followers to march for environmental causes, or to save the planet, but instructed them to:

• Go ye therefore into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

The Apostle Peter tells us that the elements and the earth will melt with fervent heat 2 Peter 3:10

• 
  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

While it is just good sense to be a good steward in taking care of the earth, it is big governments and greed that are doing the greatest damage to the earth, and have been for years, and God is keeping tabs and will hold the nations accountable according to Revelation 11:18.

The most recent earth and environment damaging event is being caused as I write this from the Gulf of Mexico Oil spill that has taken far too long to contain. At the heart of the region now threatened by the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is a chain of islands containing tens of thousands of seabirds. Thin ribbons of sand rising no higher than 19 feet out of the gulf, these islands — part of the Breton National Wildlife Refuge — currently hold at least 2,000 nesting pairs of brown pelicans, 5,000 pairs of royal terns, 5,000 pairs of Caspian terns, and 5,000 pairs of various seagulls and shorebirds. More

Walking 300 miles will not save anyone or the environment; God's Word has already been declared. Giving them the Gospel of Christ will because once one's heart has been converted to Christ, he will have a heart of love and respect for God and all of His creation.
