Iran: Twelve Christians Await Verdict After Being Tried For Apostasy On Easter Sunday

Pray for these brave men and women of Iran.

From Fox News

If you think being a Christian is legal in Iran, think again. Twelve Christians are now awaiting a verdict after being tried for apostasy Easter Sunday.

Twelve Christians stood trial Easter Sunday in Iran, where they were called “apostates” in a courtroom and tried on multiple charges, according to sources close to Iran’s Christian community.

The Christians had been acquitted on the same charges, including “crimes against the order,” a year ago in Bandar Anzali, a city on the Caspian Sea. The group was first arrested when authorities found them drinking wine while taking communion, according to sources.

“It ultimately illustrates that being a Christian is illegal in Iran. No matter how clear or how open a pastor and a church may be, Christians are being brought to trial just for being Christian,” said Jason DeMars, director of the Present Truth Ministries advocacy group who is in daily contact with the Evangelical Christian community in Iran.

No verdict has yet been issued in the case.

The attorney for the group, prominent human rights advocate Mohammad Ali Dadkhah -- who also represents Youcef Nadarkhani, the Iranian Christian pastor charged with apostasy and sentenced to death for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity -- was not able to attend Sunday’s court appearance, according to sources who said his flight from Tehran was fogged in. The 12 represented themselves to the judge. More at link above.

Muslim Mob Attack Christians In India

While the Muslim dominated, clueless, do nothing UN is busy fabricating charges against Israel, Muslim thugs and mobs and radicals are mercilessly attacking and murdering innocent Christians around the world, including children. We need to be in continuous prayer for our brothers and sisters around the world as muslim murderers, who want to dominate and control the world, will not cease in their evil works until the return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

From BosNewsLife

In India recently, a muslim mob attacked Christians,  "barged into the prayer meeting" at the home of a Christian and verbally abused them and mercilessly beat up the Christians including women."

The March 30 attack in the village of Nutangram in Murshidabad district involved "about 100 Muslim radicals" led by Muslim leader Mohammed Aanu Shaike, local Christians explained.

Christians were seen "running for their lives including children who were crying in fear but they were stopped at every corner by radicals who kicked, pushed and verbally abused them," added Christians, who did not want to be identified.

Some 500 Muslims allegedly watched the scene "in amusement" as the Christians were chased around for about one and a half hour, injuring some Christians.

Local police said they rushed to the spot after being informed about the tensions by Christian leaders. There were no reports that suspects have been detained.  Read more at link.

Christian Leader Beheaded As Islamists Terrorize Mali

ASSIST News Service

TIMBUKTU, MALI (ANS) -- A Christian leader has been beheaded and others are being threatened with similar treatment as Islamic militants run amok in Mali, West Africa.
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the alter the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, 'How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? Revelation 6:9-10
Islamic troops in Timbuktu

Christians have fled the town of Timbuktu in the north of the country where harsh Sharia Law has already been imposed amid reports that churches in Gao, 200 miles to the east, have been completely destroyed.

The news comes in the wake of a military coup in the country, one of the effects of which is that sanctions applied from outside has cut off electricity supplies, further delaying reports of the latest upheavals along with desperate pleas for help.

Among those affected is British Bible college graduate Timothee (Tim) Yattara, who recently returned home to his home country in a bid to help spread the gospel in this remote – and now dangerous – part of Africa located on the edge of the Sahara.

Tim has fled with his family to Bamako, the country’s main city some 400 miles away in the south-west, but without the money to rent a house.

“We have escaped in the wake of horrible death threats as the Islamists have a list of all the Christians in Timbuktu whom they intend to execute by beheading. As proof of their intentions, one leader has already been killed in this way and some churches in Gao have been demolished. Most Christians have already fled for safety, but Sharia Law has been imposed all over the north.

“As refugees in Bamako, life is very difficult for me and my family as we are in desperate need of finance, just to pay for shelter and safety,” he said.

Already suffering famine through drought, Mali is being terrorized by Al Qaida and associated rebels said to be claiming the northern part of the territory as their homeland.

Only last week we were reporting that Timbuktu was surrounded by tents inhabited by impoverished people who have fled the countryside in the wake of the spreading famine, exacerbated by rising unemployment and massive inflation with many struggling to find food and work.

And with a government now overthrown by a coup, the security situation has been made even worse by rebels from Libya loyal to their former leader Col Gaddafi.

Argentina: Newborn Baby Found Alive in Closed Casket In Morgue

From Yahoo News

Video At Link.

Twelve hours after being declared dead, a newborn baby was found alive in a closed casket in a morgue in Argentina after her parents insisted on seeing the baby one more time.

The pre-mature infant "Miracle Light", who is in critical but improving condition, had been declared still born by medical specialists, obstetricians, gynecologists and a neonatologist who examined the baby.

In a day when many medical people and governments around the world would rather dispose of and abort a baby, we can thank God alone, who has now given their baby back to them, that these two loving parents cared enough about their baby, to want to take one last look at her.

Massive 8.6 Earthquake Off Indonesia's Western Coast

A massive 8.6 strike-slip earthquake struck off of Indonesia's western coast Wednesday afternoon,  triggering tsunami warnings for the entire Indian Ocean.

UPDATE: Tsunami Watch Lifted

A second large quake, with a magnitude of 8.2, occurred off the west coast of Sumatra about two hours later, the USGS said.

The initial quake was a strike-slip, not a thrust quake, according to experts. In a strike slip quake, the earth moves horizontally rather than vertically and doesn't displace large volumes of water.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami watch for the entire Indian Ocean, and the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said it had put up a tsunami warning as well.

Countries included in the tsunami warning included Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Burma, Thailand, the Maldives and other Indian Ocean islands, Malaysia, Pakistan, Somalia, Oman, Iran, Bangladesh, Kenya, South Africa and Singapore.

Trouble On The Egypt-Israel Border

Trouble is brewing on the Egypt-Israel border.

A rift between Egypt and Israel, since a grad rocket landed in the southern Israeli city of Eilat located on the border of Egypt and Israel and fired from Egypt's Sinai peninsula last week is festering and has prompted Israel to deliver a threatening message to Egypt, according to which it would take action against militants in the Sinai if Cairo did not take responsibility and secure the countries’ shared border, Egyptian officials indicated on Saturday.

Hints of possible Israeli intervention in Sinai could intensify tension between the Bedouin and the Egyptian government, as well as put the fate of the Camp David agreements at risk.

The reported message was transferred days after Sinai militants fired a volley of Grad-type Katyusha rockets into a residential area of the southern Israeli city of Eilat, and a little over a month since militants attacked a gas pipeline in the desert Peninsula that transports fuel to neighboring Israel and Jordan for the 12th time.

According to Egyptian officials, the fall of a grad rocket in Eilat and Egypt’s denial that it was fired from the Sinai Peninsula has created new tensions between Israel and Egypt, with Israel sending a resolute “and even threatening” message to the Egyptian Military Council regarding the council’s responsibility for events occurring in the Sinai. Massisve Die Off Of Dolphins In Gulf Of Mexico Waters, Peru

The massive die off of dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico waters should not come as a surprise to any of us, as the following story confirms what most of us already know.

The long term consequences of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill and toxic clean up many independent scientists and other voices warned us about is now happening before our eyes. A massive die off of those darling dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico waters is upon us.

Normally an average of 74 dolphins are stranded on the northern shore of the Gulf of Mexico each year, especially during the spring birthing season. But between February 2010 and April 1, 2012, 714 dolphins and other cetaceans have been reported as washed up on the coast from the Louisiana/Texas border through Franklin County, Fla., reported the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Ninety-five percent of the mammals were dead.

Since many of the dead dolphins sink, decompose or are eaten by scavengers before washing up, NOAA believes that 714 may represent only a fraction of the actual death count. NOAA declared the die-off an “Unusual Mortality Event” as per the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972.

Although the timing of the die-off largely coincides with BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill and its aftermath, the deaths actually started increasing about two months before the April 20, 2010, explosion, which started the monthslong oil spill.

Before the spill, 112 dolphins had already been reported stranded on the shore.

In the summer of 2011, NOAA tested 32 live dolphins in Barataria Bay, an area heavily impacted by the oil spill. The dolphins were underweight, anemic, and had low blood sugar and/or some symptoms of liver and lung disease. Nearly half had abnormally low levels of hormones that help with stress response, metabolism and immune function.

The symptoms are consistent with those seen in animals exposed to oil. Source

Likewise, conservationists counted 615 dead dolphins along a 90-mile stretch of beaches in Peru, a wildlife group said Wednesday, and the leading suspect is acoustic testing offshore by oil companies.

"If you can count 615 dead dolphins, you can be sure there are a great many more out at sea and the total will reach into the thousands,” Hardy Jones, head of the conservation group BlueVoice.org, said in a statement after he and an expert with ORCA Peru walked the beaches. Source
