NEW YORK (Reuters) - Private equity company Blackstone Group LP (BX.N) CEO Stephen Schwarzman said on Tuesday that up to 45 percent of the world's wealth has been destroyed by the global credit crisis.

"Between 40 and 45 percent of the world's wealth has been destroyed in little less than a year and a half," Schwarzman told an audience at the Japan Society. "This is absolutely unprecedented in our lifetime." Full Story Here

Up to 45 percent of the world's wealth, or almost one-half has been destroyed, and this is only the beginning friends. Americans, for the most part, learned nothing after the horrible tragedy and loss of life from 9-11, and quickly returned to their former material life styles after the financial capital of the world, NYC, was attacked. And in this article from the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Americans See 18% of Wealth Vanish. The majority of Americans don't even know that we are living in the last days of this age and that God is shaking the very financial foundations and infrastructures of America and around the world that the majority put their trust and faith in.

In His infinite mercy to get their attention to draw strength from Him, Jesus Christ, the Lord of the universe, is saying to the American church: "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable, and poor and blind and naked;

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich: and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and annoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayest see.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent.

Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in and sup with him, and he with me.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches." Revelation 3:17,18, 19,20,22

Like the Laodiceans, the American church over the past 40 years have let their material wealth rob them of spiritual insight into their true naked condition. They have evaluated themselves and said, "I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing". But the Lord tells them their true state, that "thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." The Lord is calling all that have an ear to hear to repentence and to "buy of me" because our true need, "gold tried in the fire," is supplied only in knowing Him while there is still time.
