The Final Verdict: Iranian Regime To Execute Christian Pastor

Please pray for this Iranian Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani whose fate lies in God’s hands.   The Iranian Regime has issued a final verdict to execute him for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity.

A trial court in Iran has issued its final verdict, ordering a Christian pastor to be put to death for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity, according to sources close to the pastor and his legal team.

Supporters fear Youcef Nadarkhani, a 34-year-old father of two who was arrested over two years ago on charges of apostasy, may now be executed at any time without prior warning, as death sentences in Iran may be carried out immediately or dragged out for years.

It is unclear whether Nadarkhani can appeal the execution order.

“The world needs to stand up and say that a man cannot be put to death because of his faith,” said Jordan Sekulow, executive director of The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).

“This one case is not just about one execution. We have been able to expose the system instead of just letting one man disappear, like so many other Christians have in the past.”

It is also feared that Nadarkhani will be executed in retaliation as Iran endures crippling sanctions and international pressure in response to its nuclear agenda and rogue rhetoric. The number of executions in Iran has increased significantly in the last month.

“This is defiance,” Sekulow said. “They want to say they will carry out what they say they will do.”

The order to execute Nadarkhani came only days after lawmakers in Congress supported a resolution sponsored by Pennsylvania Rep. Joseph Pitts denouncing the apostasy charge and calling for his immediate release.

“Iran has become more isolated because of their drive for nuclear weapons, and the fundamentalist government has stepped up persecution of religious minorities to deflect criticism,” Pitts, a Republican, told FoxNews.com. “The persecuted are their own citizens, whose only crime is practicing their faith.”

The Rev. Franklin Graham Speaks On The Iranian Pastor Death Sentence

When Greta Van Susteren suggests there is nothing the United States can do for the Iranian Pastor, the Rev. Franklin Graham responds that there is something … the president could call for a prayer meeting at the White House.

Is that too much to ask of a president who publicly claims to be of the Christian faith?

The Rev. Graham also discusses Sharia law....saying the Quran demands if a person leaves Islam, they are to be killed.. This is the law of Sharia and it is a scary system.... Sharia law governs all of life for a muslim... it's political, it's military, it's economic [system]. Sharia law governs everything, and no western law is recognized. It's only Sharia Law.

Friends, this is the first I have heard of any Christian pastor mention on a secular public forum what can be done for Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, the Iranian pastor sentenced to death for denouncing Islam and retaining his faith is Jesus Christ, the Son of God to save him. The Rev. Graham is absolutely correct when he suggests calling a prayer meeting. Together, we all must pray for Pastor Nadarkhani. As Bible believing Christians, we know that the battle is not a physical one, but of a spiritual nature.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the LORD, and in the power of his might.

Feeling the heat from outrage across the world for condemning a Christian Pastor to die in Iran simply because he is a Christian, the state run media of Iran is now fabricating more charges, saying that imprisoned Christian pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is facing the death sentence for rape and extortion, not for apostasy and refusing to renounce his religion, as his lawyer, human rights groups and Western news media have reported. Iran: Twelve Christians Await Verdict After Being Tried For Apostasy On Easter Sunday

If you think being a Christian is legal in Iran, think again. Twelve Christians are now awaiting a verdict after being tried for apostasy Easter Sunday.

Twelve Christians stood trial Easter Sunday in Iran, where they were called “apostates” in a courtroom and tried on multiple charges, according to sources close to Iran’s Christian community.

The Christians had been acquitted on the same charges, including “crimes against the order,” a year ago in Bandar Anzali, a city on the Caspian Sea. The group was first arrested when authorities found them drinking wine while taking communion, according to sources.

“It ultimately illustrates that being a Christian is illegal in Iran. No matter how clear or how open a pastor and a church may be, Christians are being brought to trial just for being Christian,” said Jason DeMars, director of the Present Truth Ministries advocacy group who is in daily contact with the Evangelical Christian community in Iran.

No verdict has yet been issued in the case.

The attorney for the group, prominent human rights advocate Mohammad Ali Dadkhah -- who also represents Youcef Nadarkhani, the Iranian Christian pastor charged with apostasy and sentenced to death for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity -- was not able to attend Sunday’s court appearance, according to sources who said his flight from Tehran was fogged in.
