Christian churches are under attack in Baghdad, Iraq, six within the past 24 hours, and the first such attacks since the withdrawal of US combat troops from Iraqi cities.

Some of these Iraqi communities can trace their roots back to the earliest days of Christianity. Today, Christians are estimated to make up less than 3 percent of the population.
These bombings are an apparent effort to dissuade Christian Iraqis living abroad from returning. Will it work? Story here

Please keep the Iraqi Christians in your prayers as they encounter enemy attacks who are trying to wipe out Christianity in Iraq, remembering Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
