When reading this story "Papal Message Seeks "Global Authority" For Economy," you have to ask yourself what does the pope, a person who is suppose to be a religious figure on the world scene have to do with making a formal statement speaking on the world's economy? Does he have his role confused?

Interesting, the pope's message
  • "there is an urgent need of a true world political authority" whose task would be "to manage the global economy; to revive economies hit by the crisis; to avoid any deterioration of the present crisis and the greater imbalances that would result" .
was released on the eve of the start of the G8 Summit in Italy and three days before the pope is due to discuss the global downturn with U.S. President Barack Obama. Yahoo News has more.

Or, could it be that the false prophet is being groomed to make his debut?.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast,  that the image of the beast should both speak and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed Revelation 13:15
