After their glamorous trip to California, feted by A-list celebrities, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the hoi polloi on an ordinary commercial flight home to the UK . (For those unaware, hoi polloi refers to the common people.)
They were greeted by British Airways staff on a sun-drenched runway at Los Angeles airport.
I couldn’t help but notice the very obvious Christian cross that Kate Middleton, who has been on a 10 day trip to Canada and America representing England wore around her neck on a BA commercial flight back to England with her husband, Prince William, after entertaining the left Hollywood crowd in America at a glitzy event. To see the cross close up, click on picture.
Who knows... Maybe Kate is making a fashion statement or perhaps she is trying to show the viewing public that "as royalty" she can wear a cross around her neck on BA, but "common" Bible believing Christians employed by BA cannot? Perhaps it's all for "show"?
This is quite discriminatory and hypocritical indeed since "ordinary common folks" whom William and Kate are suppose to be representing on their glitzy North American tour, who are Bible believing Christians in England employed by BA (British Airways), (unless this rule has changed,) cannot get on a BA plane with a visable Christian cross around their neck, or wear a Christian cross openly in the BA workplace, yet a hijab, a religious and cultural symbol of Islam, which is a religion, is allowed. If this rule has changed, the British media must print it loud and clear so everyone will be aware of it. To date, I am sorry to report, I cannot find any media source out of Britain that verifies the change of this rule by BA.

British Airways Uniform: Hijab Yes, Crucifix No
Jesus Christ, who came from God, is true royalty and who His cross represents, humbled himself before the common people became a servant for all, not thinking Himself above others, even washing His disciples feet John 13:1-17 even though He is a true King, Prince and Lord of Lords, saying a servant is not greater than his master.
The Bible has much to say about treating others fairly. One of my favorite verses is in James 2:1-10
My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile rainment;
And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: (Note- The definition of "gay" clothing in this verse does not refer to homosexual, but from the Greek concordance, the meaning is: λαμπρόςlamproslam-pros'G2985; radiant; by analogy limpid; figuratively magnificent or sumptuous (in appearance): - bright, clear, gay, goodly, gorgeous, white.)
Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats. Do not they blasphemy that worthy name by the which ye are called
If ye fulfill the royal law according to scripture, "Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.Something else I noticed from the same link is from the picture below, which has the “Blue Star Families” logo with the "Obama logo" in the star, which means this event was staged ahead of time with the "Blue Star Families" for Obama organization.

I noticed the cross today, too, after looking at many photos of Kate in some fashion magazine! I hope it is to stand up for the Christian believe (Kate was Catholic until she converted to marry the prince.)which has been receiving much open discrimination these days in the Middle East, in Egypt (poor Coptics being killed)and in British Airways' policies etc. She has inspired me to wear mine openly again after much fear of discrimination in secular Canberra, Australia!
