Iranian Christian Ali Golchin Held In Iranian Prison For Possessing A Bible

You will recall I reported on an Iranian Christian, Ali Golchin being illegally held in an Iranian prison without any formal charges. It is now being reported by his father that the Iranian Christian church worker, Ali Golchin, is being held in prison for possessing a Bible.

Ali’s father reports that his son is being held in Iran’s notorious Evin prison in solitary confinement, and advises that his son was taken away to prison because a New Testament was found, and confiscated, in their home.

According to Farsi Christian News Network (FCNN), Ali Golchin, a 29- year-old graduate of analytical chemistry, was arrested in the town of Varamin, 35 km South East of Tehran, and has been in solitary confinement for over two months. Ali is a Farsi-speaking Christian and a Christian worker in a local church.

FCNN says that Ali has been subjected to harsh and long interrogations during this time. Moreover, Ali's family has been threatened by government authorities and warned not to retain a lawyer or contact any news organizations. Ali has not been charged with any crimes as of yet.
Up until recently the news of Ali's arrest and on-going imprisonment was published and relayed to the English-speaking news media by FCNN, which has caused strong reaction worldwide. More.

Please continue to pray for Ali that the Lord will intervene and give him the strength to endure the persecution, and that strong pressure continues to be placed upon the Iranian officials, and that  Ali will find favor with the judiciary authorities in Iran and be released from Evin prison immediately.

Christian Ali Golchin Tortured in Iran Prison, Now Very Sick

This is occurring far to frequently in Iran. You will recall the torture reported  of two Christian sisters, now acquitted, and out of Iran because of prayer of faithful Christians around the world.

Another Christian brother, Ali Golchin, whose only crime is believing in Jesus Christ has been taken captive and  is being tortured in an Iranian prison and remains in solitary confinement since April 29, 2010, without being charged with any crime.

Ali’s father was only allowed to visit his son for ten minutes after two months of solitary confinement, and reports that his son is now very sick and has lost much weight. Full story here.

Please lift this Christian brother up to God, covering him with your prayers  in Jesus name that Ali will be given divine strength to withstand the enemy, healing,  and that Ali is given favor with the Iranian authorities and is released immediately.

Iranian Christian Ali Golchin Released From Iran's Evin Prison

Thank you Lord for answered prayer.

According to Assist News Service, Ali Golchin , an Iranian Christian who has been in solitary confinement in Iran’s Evin prison for 87 days because he possessed a Bible, has now been released from Evin prison after a $200,000 bail was paid.

Ali, along with several other Iranian Christians also released at this time, are now awaiting a trial date.

FCNN said Golchin is among a number of other Christians from the cities of Tehran, Isfahan, and Kermanshah, as well as some church members arrested at homes in Mashhad who have since been released. They have been forced to sign specific commitments about their conduct or had to make bail payments. They are all now waiting for their trial dates to be announced.

According to Farsi Christian News Service, “This disproportionate bail has been inflicted upon the family in the form of a bond against the title deed of family property of equivalent value; it is keeping not only Ali but the whole family virtually in chains.”

Iranian Woman’s Lawyer In Stoning Case In Hiding

Remember the Iranian woman in Iran who was condemned to die by stoning that was halted by the Iranian judiciary because of International outcry against the barbaric regime of Iran and this execution practice that I reported about here? Now her lawyer, who is credited for bringing the plight of the condemned woman’s story to the attention of human rights groups around the world is in hiding from the Iranian authorities after being questioned for four hours in Iran’s notorious torture prison Evin, fearing arrest, because he brought this to the attention of the world.

The Iranian authorities have since arrested the lawyer's
wife and brother-in-law because Mr. Mostafaei has gone into hiding.

The lawyer, Mohammed Mostafaei, told CNN in July that he had been arrested once before, shortly after the post election turmoil in 2009, and that he knew the risks he was taking by speaking so publicly about the Ashtiani case. But he also said that risk wouldn't deter him from speaking out about human rights abuses in Iran. More.



Not one nation came to the aid of the unarmed Iranian people, when the door was wide open, when millions of Iranian citizens took to the streets in Iran in revolt against the fascist regime during the post turmoil election of 2009, as multitudes were beaten, killed and tortured in prison.

One can only wonder how much longer God will allow the evil we see in Iran against innocent law abiding citizens, many of them Christians, and around the world to continue. True Christians today are vexed with the dreadful wickedness abounding everywhere and their hearts are crying out, even so come Lord Jesus. While God is a merciful Lord, The Holy Spirit has been quickening the spirit of the true children of God that time is running out for this present state of affairs that the world is in and that judgment is at hand. It is written God will not always strive with man. There is a limit to God’s patience.

Please pray for the safety and protection of this brave Iranian lawyer and his family who has been illegally arrested.
