Replacement Theology In American Churches

It has been said that millions upon millions of so-called "church" members today in America never hear a word in the pulpit concerning the Jewish State, Israel, and what the Bible has to say about it in the Old Testament prophecies. The people who patronize these churches are included in your mainstream Christian denominations and are totally left in the dark. In fact, these same churches believe that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who is the God of the Jewish in the people in the Old Testament and whom Christians know as Jesus Christ, believe that God himself is through with the Jewish people and the State of Israel, and that the Jewish people no longer are part of God's bigger plan of salvation, and endorse and support the enemies of the Jewish State of Israel. This is what is called "Replacement Theology", in simple words, meaning the Christian "church" has replaced Israel and God's promises in the Old Testament are no longer relevant to the Jews and Israel. The fact is, all of the promises in the Old Testament that have not been fulfilled yet involve Israel and the Jewish people.

The leaders and members of these churches are out of touch in understanding the extreme importance concerning what is happening in the world today as it concerns Israel, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey and other Middle East countries or the formation of the EU as it relates to ISRAEL and the Jewish people. If you are a member of any of these churches, you won't hear anything concerning this.

Among the denominational churches are the Roman Catholic Church, Presbyterian Church USA, The Lutheran Church and Evangelican Luthern Church, The United Methodist Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints, The Episcopal Church,  just to name a few, but there are many more.

These churches are in fact, dead churches because God has not forgotten about His promises to Israel and the Jews, according to biblical Old Testament prophecy, and the Jewish people and Israel are extremely involved in God's redemption plan for Israel, the people of Israel and the people of the world. Suffice to say that today there are approximately 15,000 Jewish believers in Jesus Christ living in Israel alone, and all the events we see taking place in the Middle East nations today involve Israel and the Jewish people of Israel.

It is a sad fact that much of the mainstream denominational church currently endorses Replacement Theology ie: that it has removed from Israel their rights as a nation to the land of Israel and the blessings God still has in store for them as a nation as it relates to  God's everlasting program concerning the affairs of the human race and the destiny of our world.

Replacement Theology "churches" do not believe that the Jewish people have rights to their homeland, the land of Israel, which God gave to them.  This is a lie from satan, as scripture clearly shows that God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people and has returned them to their ancient land of Israel in our generation.

God is not finished with Israel. In fact, all of biblical prophecy taking place today in our generation involves its central player Israel and the people of Israel. The Abraham Covenant has not ever been "replaced" by the Christian Church; However, it has been expanded upon after the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ to include all believers in Jesus Christ, whether it be Jew or Gentile.

Paul clarifies this truth in his writings to the Galatians in Chapter 3:

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. 16

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect." 17.

One needs to look at verse 16 above very closely to appreciate what Paul is actually saying. In essence, Paul is explaining here that Jesus Christ owns the Title Deed to the Land of Israel, or Caanan Land as He is the "seed" of Abraham (singular), and is the heir to the Land of Israel. The Book of Acts reinforces this biblical truth to His original chosen apostles when they asked Jesus "will thou at this time restore the kingdom of Israel?" and he said unto them, "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power." Acts 1:6,7

The Messiah Jesus will set up His Kingdom and restore the Kingdom of Israel which will occur at the Millennium when He will rule on David's Throne out of present day Jerusalem, Israel on earth at His second coming, where His elect, which is all those who believed in Him, Jew and Gentile, throughout world history as we know it, will rule with Him.

Isaiah 9:6,7 records: "For unto us a child is born, unto us son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder;-and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justie from henceforth even for ever.

The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." Isaiah's words were fulfilled when Messiah Jesus came as recorded in Luke 1:31-33 "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end."

Paul further writes to the Galatians in Chapter 3 that: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 28And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. 29

Paul is clearly saying from these above verses concerning the Abrahamic Covenant that all believers in Christ Jesus, whether Jew or Gentile are now also heirs with Messiah Jesus Christ, who is the rightful owner/heir of the Land of Israel.

To further expand on this, Paul confirms what is written from Moses in Genesis Chapter 16:15 and Genesis 21:2 of the Old Testament in Galatians Chapter 4.

For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, The one by a bondmaid, the other by a free woman.22

But he who was of the bond woman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. 23

Which things are an allegory:for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 24

For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage, with her children. 25

But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 26
For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. 27

Now, we brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 28

29But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 30
So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. 31

The Word of God, itself, is sufficient witness to this truth concerning Israel and its importance for every believer. If we lack this knowledge we do not have the whole counsel of God and therefore cannot discern the times we are living in.. Much of Israel related biblical prophecy is unfolding before our eyes in our generation

.A main reason why much of the church is weak and ineffective in its ministry today is lack of this knowledge. The church cannot wholly appropriate the Ministry of the Holy Spirit without embracing the whole counsel of God as set forth in His Word. In measure, the church is currently reaping something of the essence of what Revelation 22: 18-19 has to say about changing the Word of God . I think if you prayerfully read Romans Chapters 9,10 and 11, and Galatians Chapter 3, and 4, you will have a good foundation from which to further develop your grasp of this truth.

Ezekiel, Chapter 36 has been taking place right before our very eyes in our generation. I strongly recommend that everyone reading this go to Ezekiel Chapter 36 in your Bible and read it all for yourself. I quote in part here:

Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 16Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings; their way was before me as the uncleaness of a removed woman. 17

Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:

18And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries; according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

19And when they entered unto the heathen, wither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone forth out of his land.

20But I had pity for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, wither they went.

21Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O House of Israel, but for my Holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, wither ye went.

22 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

23For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land.

24Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean; from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

25And a new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

26And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

27and ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

A church that does not see the biblical view on Israel as foretold in the Old Testament is in fact a dead church, because the church is not looking at what God had to say about Israel and the Jewish people in future years, when He plans on redeeming Israel. The fact that Israel is back in their homeland, that was prophesized thousands of years ago after being dispersed throughout the nations for over 2,000 years is evidence that Old Testament Scripture is to be taken literally.

If the prophecies concerning the first advent of Jesus Christ as foretold by the ancient Hebrew prophets were taken literally and fulfilled, then certainly the restoration and redemption of the Jewish people and the State of Israel most assuredly must be taken literally and fulfilled and we are seeing it in our generation. The return of the Jews to Israel in 1948 and to become once again the united nation of Israel and Jerusalem as united in June of 1967 under Israel's sovereignty, the City of David, is a modern day miracle that was prophesized by God's Hebrew prophets thousands of years ago, which your Replacement Theology churches completely ignore, to their own peril.

This is what God is doing with Israel and the Jews today concerning them in the Land of Israel in restoring them to the Land of Israel. God is fulfilling His written Word to His people Israel and you can read about it in Ezekiel 37:21-22, 28:25-26; Isaiah 11: 11, Micah 5:3, 7:14; Zechariah 10:8-10; concerning the West Bank Jeremiah 31: 5,6, which will utimately end with the forgiveness God has for his people Israel described in Jeremiah 50:20.

Thank you for your explanation of this Replacement Theology! I totally agree with you on this! I work with a preacher and a member of his congregation that believes the opposite and it has really bothered me that this is how his church looks at Isreal and the Jewish people. He has talked about this and tried to get me to believe in this way of thinking. In my opinion believing this way makes God's promises null and void and I refuse to believe that they are correct in their thinking. Thank you again! God is faithful!

  2. Hi anon.

Many, many "churches" and people believe the way the preacher and a member of his congregation that you mention believe, even though the Scriptures clearly tell us differently. This false belief is what is behind the persecution of the Jewish people since the time of Christ, and is behind the nation's leaders today dividing up the land of Israel to give to Israel's enemies, and they will be severely judged by God the Scriptures show.

The Church has not replaced Israel - the Church IS the true Israel of God!
The Church is the CONTINUATION of the faithful remnant of Israel consisting of the Lord's Apostles and the other Jewish believers of the 1st Century.
Salvation and God's people are not about race or ethnicity but about GRACE and personal faith in the Lord.
You can screen my message all you want but your cult of the state of Israel is an abomination before the Lord, and you will sure answer to God sooner than later!
