UN Calls For Immediate Cease Fire

Is the UN now trying to handcuff Israel so it can't defend itself against Hamas' rocket attacks into southern Israel civilian territory?

The UN, calling for an immediate cease fire, represents more of the usual blame Israel rhetoric, and is an embarrassment to all freedom loving people everywhere. As the UN tells Israel to stop defending its innocent civilians against terrorist rocket attacks from Hamas by calling for an immediate cease fire, Hamas has admitted they are not saying they will stop rocket attacks from Gaza. Nothing's changed, except the rules of the game as Israel has now vowed to defend itself, something the UN is not accustomed to,and the UN will now have to come up with something better than this.

Deliberately firing rockets into civilian areas with the sole intention of killing and terrorizing innocent men, women and children as Hamas has been doing for years in southern Israel from Gaza has long been acknowledged to be against International Law, and this makes a good starting point from which the UN must deal with before any cease fire can come about.

Israel thumbs nose at UN

Jerusalem quickly responded to the decision by saying that no UN resolution would dictate when Israel would end its operation in Gaza. Senior officials told Israel Radio early Friday morning that only the achievement of goals defined by the Security Cabinet would establish the cessation of military activity.
