"Christian" Zionism Deception

I have a great love as well as burden  for the Jewish people and I have continuously supported their right to live in the land of Israel where the Lord has brought them back after two thousand years of dispersion from among the nations, and will to support this right.

Throughout my writings here I have stood by and with Israel and the Jewish people in their right to defend themselves against their hostile enemies inside and outside of Israel. As a medical missionary, I have taken the Gospel of Christ to the sick and dying Jewish people.

With that said, however, I cannot go against God's Word, my conscience and better judgment and blindly follow what I believe to be an unbiblical movement created by John Hagee and his followers known as "Christians" United For Israel, and "Christian" Zionism. I am also praying and believing that in the days ahead of us, those involved in this unbiblical alliance, more and more, will have their eyes opened to the deceptiveness involved in the "Christian" Zionist movement and will be convicted by the Holy Spirit to flee from the movement.

We are living in unprecendanted deceptive times and it is absolutely imperative that followers of Jesus Christ keep their eyes to the Holy Scriptures and not listen to a televangelist. There is no lack of deception and false doctrines running amok among those professing Christianity, and John Hagee's "Christian" Zionism is at the top of the list. Therefore, we must be as the bareans and search the scriptures daily to see if these things be so.  Messiah Jesus has not left us in the dark and he has given us everything we need to know in His Word for these last days.

It is incredible the deception that "Christian" Zionism has created. I was recently scanning a so called "christian" message board that advertises faith, fellowship, etc., that promotes the blasphemous Word of Faith Doctrine and Kenneth Copeland, along with "lovers of Israel", another one who advertises a "Christian" and Israel alliance but promotes "Christian Zionism" and discourages promoting evangelism and the Gospel of Christ for fear of offending a Jewish person, (huh?) and on this same message board I read where someone had written that Jesus was a Christian Zionist.

The Jewish Apostle Paul, who was a Pharisee known as Saul of Tarsus before his dramatic conversion to Christianity by Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, persecuted the early Christians. Today we see this happening in Israel all over again by the orthodox Jews, the pharisees of our day, whom Jesus the Messiah rebuked and whom are living under the law of Moses,  without a Saviour. Paul went on to write most of the New Testament under the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Of great significance that John Hagee and his scantly veiled two-covenant theology has overlooked in pursuit of a personal political agenda (in the name of Christianity) called "Christian" Zionism and what appears to be a strong bid to hijack Biblical Christianity and replace it with Judiasm are the powerful words and teachings of Paul written in Romans Chapter 9 and Galatians Chapter 4 and 5.

I SAY the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

That I have great sorrow in my heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen,according to the flesh;

who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all. Romans 9:1-5

The foregoing words of Paul tell of the anguish and sorrow he has for his fellow Israelites in their lost state without knowing Christ and having their sins forgiven. So much so Paul says that he himself would rather be accursed from Christ than to have his fellow Israelites who are still in the flesh and without Christ. Paul goes on to further explain:

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. FOR THEY ARE NOT ALL ISRAEL, WHICH ARE OF ISRAEL.

Neither because they are the seed of Abraham; are they all children; but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; BUT THE CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE ARE COUNTED FOR THE SEED. Romans 9:6-8

Simply put, the Apostle Paul is saying that one has to be a child of the promise to be counted for the seed and just because one is an Israelite, or born Jewish and lives in the land of Israel does not automatically make that person a child of Abraham or God, or a child of the promise; or give the person a free ticket into heaven and eternal life; and without faith in the Messiah Jesus, one has no hope of heaven and eternal life.

Take note in vs 7 above where Paul writes "In Isaac shall thy seed be called," and vs 8, "the children of the promise are counted for the seed." Paul elaborates on these verses further in Galatians Chapter 3:16, where he clarifies

Now to Abraham AND HIS SEED were the promises made. HE SAITH NOT, AND TO SEEDS, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, WHICH IS CHRIST. It is very clear to anyone who has read this that Christ is the seed of Abraham whom Paul is speaking of, and not the natural descendants of Abraham or the Jews as Hagee and his "Christian" Zionist followers suggest and promote. A relationship with unbelieving Israel and Jewish people, according to Biblical standards, with all due respect, may produce a good friend and political ally, but will not produce the blessing of salvation. Only one's relationship with the Messiah Jesus will.

The true Israel of God Paul writes of in Galatians 6:16 is only found in a relationship with and service to the Lord Jesus Christ. The true Israel of God are the childen of the promise and are counted for the seed. These are those who believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, whether Jew and Gentile. John Hagee's"Christian" Zionist movement politically supports secular and unsaved Israel and does not give unsaved Jewish people of Israel the Gospel of Christ, nor does this "Christian" Zionist movement publically support our persecuted messianic brethren living in Israel; even though, according to Scripture, the blessing of Abraham is Christ and the blessing is distributed by spreading the Gospel of Christ and standing with our Jewish brethren in Christ.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek (Gentile), there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

AND IF YE BE CHRIST'S, THEN YE ARE ABRAHAM'S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE. Galatians 3:27-29

All Christians, as ambassadors of Christ, are commanded to bless the Jewish people by sharing the good news of reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ. The Great Commission of Jesus Christ has never been cancelled, but John Hagee believes and is on record for misleading multitudes by saying it is a waste of time to evangelize the Jews; the "Christian" Zionist movement, while it parades around Israel as "Christian" neither gives the Gospel to the unsaved Jewish people of Israel or publically supports the Jewish believers of Jesus Christ of Israel in the midst of their on-going persecution from the unsaved orthodox Jewish population.

This deeply bothers me. The Scriptures clearly tell us: "As we have opportunity, let us do good unto all men, ESPECIALLY UNTO THEM WHO ARE OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH." Galatians 6:10. John Hagee and his followers, unfortunately, do not represent anything remotely similiar to Biblical Christianity.

I so agree with you, Toni and keep up the good work in exposing this deception known as Christian Zionism.

  2. I wonder if I got my facts straightened out for this:
    http://www.helsinki.fi/~pjojala/Expelled-Jews-statistics.htm
    ?

It's about statistics on the expulsion of the Jews from the Moslim and European ("semi-Christian") countries. STATISTICS, not Zionism.

  3. Hi Pauli:

I believe you are talking about something entirely different than what I am addressing here.

As I happened to see this blog I have some comments:
First, I don't know whether there is a religious reason to support Israel, but there certainly is a MORAL reason for anyone who sees the unjust persecution of Israel from Arab countries like Iran Syria and Hamas.

Second - though as an Israeli Jew I'm not the most unbiased here - I think God could never abandon His promises to the fleshy Israelites or His covenant with them. For he is not a liar, and He doesn’t change his mind.

Lastly, although there are many truths within Christianity I doubt that it has the whole truth. It is hard to understand how people can defend notions like the Trinity or the Incarnation: Can God limit Himself to a human body? That seems to me to be quite impossible for an omnipotent God..

  5. Hello ~~

I would agree with you in that one should morally support Israel and for me, I have always been a friend of Israel and the Jewish people.

Secondly, could you please elaborate on what promises and covenant you are referring to.

Lastly, concerning the Trinity of God, our human minds will never be able to understand it. As we read the Scriptures, God the Father through His Holy Spirit, whom lives in us and whom Jesus Christ, God's Son, gives to all who ask, will show you the truth. God's Trinity does not limit God in any way.

    Hi,
I appreciate your support for Israel.

The promise I was speaking about is that God would never break the covenant with Israel whom he brought out from Egypt. I don't at the moment remember everything but here are some biblical examples suggesting that the covenant was never meant to be temporary:

"...I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land that I swore to give to your forefathers. I said, 'I will never break my covenant with you (Judges 2:1)

"And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I [am] the LORD their God.
But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I [am] the LORD.
    (Leviticus 26:44-45)

These last two verses are being said about God's attitude AFTER Israel's sins against Him and their subsequent exile. This means that it is not dependet on whether or not we are righteous enough.

"The LORD appeared to us in the past, [a] saying:
    I have loved you with an EVERLASTING love;
I have drawn you with loving-kindness.
    (Jeremiah 31:3, my emphasis)

Regarding the Trinity, the Bible never says such a thing (not even the New Testament). It's all based on arguments which I don't find so compelling. Of course if you presuppose that the New Testament should be followed then it has much more of a support. But how would you prove it for one who doesn’t originally suppose the NT when on the face of it it seems to contradict God's omnipotence and unity?
I’m not implying that everything should be mentioned in the Bible. But given so many occurrences of statements about God’s oneness it is weird that He would require us to believe in a Trinity that seems to contradict other teachings and has never been even mentioned.

  7. Hello ~~ Regarding the Holy Trinity...

I will try to explain the Holy Trinity as best I can. At the start of creation, when God made all things there was someone with Him.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the "SPIRIT" of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2

And God said, Let "US" make man in our image, after "OUR" likeness Genesis 1:26

These verses show the Godhead, or trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, all in one.

Now, compare this with the New Testament John's Gospel Chapter 1

In the beginning was the "Word", and the "Word" was "WITH" and the "Word" was God. vs. 1 Here you have your trinity, or Godhead as it is known. The "Word" is Jesus Christ. continuing to vs. 2

The same was in the beginning WITH GOD. vs. 2

All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 3.

vs. 2 and vs. 3 are saying here that Jesus Christ was with God and all things were made by him.

    continuing to vs. 4
In "him" was life; and the life was the light of men.

vs. 4 is saying in Jesus Christ is life and He is the light of men.

vs. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

vs. 5 is saying that without the light of Jesus Christ in ones life, one is walking in darkness.

John the Baptist came to testify of the Light.

Thank you for the Scriptures you have provided. The Lord God will always love His people Israel with an everlasting love. However, the Lord has said He will make a New Covenant with Israel
which He has done. The Old Covenant was a foreshadow of the things to come and was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the penalty for the sins of everyone as God was finished with the earthly manmade temple and animal sacrifices as a penalty for sin once and for all. The temple was destroyed in 70 AD, never to be rebuilt until the return of Christ, where He will reign out of Jerusalem, Israel on David's throne.

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
