According to this Christian Post article from August of this year, the Catholic church is publishing, mixing and endorsing Hindu teachings from the Bhagavad Gita and incorporating them into a new Indian "Bible" called the New Community Bible which depicts Jesus, Mary and Joseph as poor Indian villagers, and passing it off as Christianity. Mary wears a simple sari and has a bindi on her forehead alongside Joseph in a turban and loincloth.
- According to the 30 Indian biblical scholars who worked for more than 15 years on the new edition, the Bible draws on "the rich cultural and religious heritage of India."
Needless to say, this will present a complete distortion of the true Gospel message of Jesus Christ as written in the holy scriptures, and is condemned by Jesus Christ himself where it is writtten in Revelation Chapter 22 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book." 18.
Friends, we need to be as the Apostle Paul, "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love," and stay away from any and all teachings that divert from the absolute truth presented in the Word of God, the Bible and warn our Indian friends and others of this newest diversion tactic from the Catholic church that leads others away from the truth of God's Word.
We as Christians need to follow the instructions of the beloved Apostle Paul, be rooted and grounded in the Word of God, and "preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." II Timothy 4:2-4

Ur criticism of New Catholic Bible is not right.One must accept Jesus Christ not blindly,but through a comparative study with other religions.Through such a study we can understand Christianity is advanced Hinduism,the culmination of Hindu religious evolution.This will prompt Hindus to accept Christ.The Western Missionaries presented Christianity in India, as Western which supports materialism.This is the reason for conversion problems in India and declining Christianity in the west.But the truth is Christianity is eastern and a continuation of Hinduism.Hindus will have no problem in leaving aside their old philosophies and accepting Christianiy,the advanced Hindu philosophy.The New Bible never vindicates Hinduism but presents Christianity as Superior to Hinduism through comparison.

ReplyDeleteThe roots of Christianity are Hebrew. Abraham was called the first Hebrew as recorded in Genesis. Christianity came from Hebrew roots. Perhaps this link will help you.
