A Christian Response To American Election Uncertainty: Be Still And Know That I Am God

When anxieties build from within us during times of uncertainty such as is now with an American election process taking place , and an unqualified candidate with basically no executive leadership experience such as Obama and some would certainly say, unAmerican because the terrorist group Hamas from radical islam is rooting for him, and unChristian because of his muslim faith, and his mocking the Bible, and his membership ties with a hate filled racist "church" and a major war looming in the Middle East which will affect God's beloved Israel and America, we can take solace in knowing that as Christians we are neither democrat or republican, but citizens of heaven, occupying until He comes for us and called to spread the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord, and pray for God's Will to be done on earth in these very uncertain times that we are now living in.

As Christians we can sometimes get lost in the moment of the events happening around us, but we must remember to keep our eyes fixed upon and looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, that this too shall pass and that this world is not our home as Jesus made it perfectly clear when he was brought before Pilate that His kingdom was not of this world when he said

"if my kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now is my kingdom not from hence." John 18:36.

As Christians in these very uncertain times, we can rest assurred, as the psalmist wrote and "be still, and know that I am God", and that He will be exalted among the nations in the earth. Psalm 46:10
