Israel Responds to Lebanon Katyusha Rocket

Katyusha rockets are being fired into Israel again, this time from Lebanon, injuring three Israelis. Israel responded by firing shells, according to this BBC report. I strongly sense another Israeli-Arab major 'regional' war in the not too distant future as Iran's proxy Hezbollah and enemy of Israel is pushing for just that and Netanyahu has vowed Iran will not get a nuclear weapon, and this war will be much more vast and destructive to Israel's surrounding enemies than the Gaza-Hamas War.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew's Gospel Chapter 24 that these things must happen before his return. "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: All these are the beginning of sorrows." Come Lord Jesus, Come.

  1. I just don't get why Israel's neighbors would keep chunking those rockets...Either they are trying for the "ultimate" martyrdom, or they just don't understand what happens if they hit a nuke plant with a rocket...

  2. Hi Nancy:

Iran is the one fueling the fire in the Middle East using all of the terror groups. Hezboh is Ahmadinejad and Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei's puppet. They both have very dangerous ideas of end times theology and believe they are the ones to bring in the muslim saviour or ma'adi. Before that can happen, they believe that the world must be in chaos first and it is to their advantage to help bring in the ma'adi by creating world chaos. If Iran can provoke Israel into a war using Hezboh, or Hamas, or Islamic Jihad, or the 'palestinians', in their minds, it will hasten the appearance of the ma'adi they believe.

Joel Rosenberg explains it this way:

“In Islam, as in Judaism and Christianity, there is a scenario for the end of times, where the final battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil will occur. For Christians and Muslims alike, this means between ‘us’ and ‘them.’ The ‘us’ being differently defined, the ‘them’ being more or less the same. From the view of a certain section within the Iranian leadership, it’s not by any means unanimous, that time is now. For a group… whose main leader is [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad, the apocalyptic time has come. “Ma’adi,” the Muslim messiah is already here. The final battle has already begun. That is important for another reason, and that is concerning Iran’s nuclear weapon. The Soviet Union had weapons right through the cold war, but neither side used them because they were aware the other side would use them as well. It was called mutual assured destruction (MAD) which was the main deterrent of using the weapons. For most of the Iranian leadership, MAD would work as a deterrent. But for Ahmadinejad and his group, with their apocalyptic mindset, MAD is not a deterrent, but an inducement. They believe that the end of time has come and the sooner the better. So the good can go enjoy the delights of paradise and the wicked, meaning all of us here, can go to eternal damnation.
