Democrats Invited To Introduce Amendments To Reduce Spending By GOP

It will be very  interesting to watch how many, if any, of the remaining democrats invited by the GOP to introduce amendments to reduce spending, will take them up on their invitation.

It is no secret to God that America is in a deep financial crisis situation because God knows every single detail about us and America. The Bible tells us He knows the exact number of hairs on our head. So you can be sure we can trust him to guide America through this time of financial bankruptcy, with godly people in control.

One of the main obstacles that got America into this financial bankruptcy status is uncontrolled spending via excessive bailouts by Obama and friends, and forbidding amendments on spending bills from Pelosi and friends.

The new GOP congress coming to Washington in January is making plans already to get America out of debt, something that the democrats refused to allow during the past two years, and is inviting the minority democrats to introduce amendments to reduce spending.

  • In September, the GOP included a promise in its “Pledge to America” to open up the rules process.
Once Republicans take control of the House of Representatives this January, even minority Democrats will be able to offer amendments to reduce spending for all spending legislation that comes before the chamber -- something that was not allowed under House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
"By forbidding amendments on spending bills, Democrats have denied lawmakers the opportunity to tighten Washington's belt and slash wasteful and duplicative programs," the pledge reads.  "Structure dictates behavior, so we will let any lawmaker--Democrat or Republican--offer amendments to reduce spending." Full story here.
If the people of America are expected to spend prudently in these very difficult financial times, we can thank God that we now have a competent  congress that hopefully will compel lawmakers to  live within their means and not accumulate any more wasteful debt for the  American people, a Godly principle to live by.
