Update On False Healing Revival In Lakeland

I have received some angry comments from people out of Europe, mostly from the UK, regarding Todd Bentley and what I and others have termed a false healing revival in Lakeland.  If people would just read their Bibles and investigate the background of Todd Bentley, they would see that he is a fake and a false prophet when Bentley's performance at Lakeland in lined up against the Word of God, merchandising of of the counterfeit signs and wonders movement.  Here is a video from You Tbe Europe that clearly points this out during one of Bentley's performances.  Watch the video.

The Bible certainly tells us that God will give anyone His Holy Spirit for the asking with a sincere heart.  in Luke's Gospel 11:13. and you do not need a dangerous and deceptive false teacher and false prophet working under the influence of demonic forces touching you and laying hands on you to obtain God's Holy Spirit.  In fact, the Apostle Paul gives Timothy a warning "Lay hands suddenly on no man" in I Timothy 5:22; yet Todd Bentley and your charismatic signs and wonders false prohets  ignore this teaching from Paul.

The Holy Spirit is given freely by God to all who believe Jesus is the Son of God, died on the cross to atone for their sins, was raised from the dead, and have repented of their sins when one gets saved.  God Himself is the giver of His Holy Spirit to those He saves.

Todd Bentley doesn't even appear to know the basics of Christianity and that Christians are to preach and teach Christ crucified as the Apostle Paul taught in I Corinthians 1:22-24.

The purpose of signs and wonders in the early New Testament Church in Acts was to establish, by Christ's chosen Apostles, a foundation for Christ's Church as unbelieving Jews required a "sign." as written in scripture.by the Apostle Paul.  These "signs" gifts were given by the Spirit Himself to only Jesus' chosen Apostles to make authentic the New Revelation of the New Testament, and once completed, these "signs" gifts no longer had a function and do not belong in the church of Christ today. 


True believers do not go chasing after and looking for "signs and wonders" because they already believe by faith in the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:9-10 tells us that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.; and Romans 10:13 tells us that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Beware of this false prophet.  Todd Bentley is just one of many  you may have seen on TBN-- a self proclaimed false prophet merchandising the Gospel of Christ who only desires to  take your money.

The Apostle Paul warned in very strong words concerning the attitude of God towards those who would pervert the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We certainly can understand this, because it cost God His onlySon, and Jesus a horrible painful death by way of torture and crucifixion.  Paul wrote in Galatians 1:8,9 "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which  we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed"

The Bible tells us that the Gospel of Christ is to be distributed freely in Matthew 10:7,8, I Corinthians 2:12, 2 Corinthians 11:7, Revelation 21:6, 22:17.
Todd Bentley cannot give or "impart" God's Holy Spirit to anyone because God's Holy Spirit's is not Bentley's to give  away, as God's Word tells us; only God Himself does this, as He did with His original chosen Apostles.

God's prophet Isaiah prophesied the Words of God in Isaiah 44:3 "For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground; I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring."  And in Joel 2:28, the prophet writes "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh... 

Concerning the Gifts of the Spirit as outlined in the Word of God as written by Paul, who received God's Holy Spirit directly from Jesus Christ himself, Paul tells us that it is God's Holy Spirit himself who gives to God's servants in I Corinthians 12:8,9

So, friends, you see there definitely is "a spirit" working in Todd Bentley, but we now know from God's Word that it is not God's Holy Spirit., and we also know from God's Word that Todd Bentley cannot "impart" any spiritual gifts of God to others as he claims he is doing from the numerous videos we have seen.  Therefore, I present to you that Todd Bentley is masquerading around Lakeland as a false apostle and false prophet, deceiving thousands and perhaps millions by the airways, which will ultimately and adversely affect those who know the truth and those who do not know the truth, and that is why we need to be very concerned about this counterfeit revival and warn others so they are not led astray by this wolf.

Bentley's rantings include visions of angels and Jesus appearing to him and receiving revelations from an angel called  Emma and Jesus himself, but God has already given us His Word and Revelation through Jesus Christ and his chosen Apostles  and Hebrew prophets.

Throughout the Scriptures there are warnings against mysticism.  Colossians 2:18 is specifically applicable here..

These are pretty stern warnings that Christians need to heed and not get caught up in the counterfeit healing 'revival' taking place in Lakeland.
