Fitness Trainer Jillian Michaels Believes Pregnancy Ruins The Body -HUH?

Full Story here

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3

TV Fitness Trainer Jillian Michael’s, who believes pregnancy ruins the body, may know what she is talking about when it comes to fitness training, but she is way off base by thinking pregnancy ruins the body and would rather adopt. Not that there is anything wrong with adopting, but being pregnant certainly does not ruin the body; in fact the opposite is true, according to research. Being pregnant has many therapeutic healing effects for the woman’s body during pregnancy For instance, I wonder if Ms. Michaels is aware that during pregnancy, God gave the woman’s body a natural protective mechanism against many disease symptoms and disease processes:

Some women feel healthier than ever during pregnancy
Symptoms of a wide range of diseases decline or disappear
Pregnancy provides a moisturizer for dry skin
Psoriasis symptoms are relieved
A natural relief from Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis.
Relief from asthma
Multiple Sclerosis symptoms decline
Rheumatoid Arthritis and other inflammatory disease symptoms go away More

If we want to be in God's will we have to be out of our own, and have to let go of the things that cause us to think of ourselves first and God second.

Galatians 5:24 "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."

  1. On the flip side, it's clear that coffee isn't for everyone. Its legendary jolt in excess doses -- that is, more than whatever your individual body can tolerate -- can increase nervousness, hand trembling, and cause rapid heartbeat. Coffee may also raise cholesterol levels in some people and may contribute to artery clogging. But most recent large studies show no significant adverse effects on most healthy people, although pregnant women, heart patients, and those at risk for osteoporosis may still be advised to limit or avoid coffee. The bottom line: "People who already drink a lot of coffee don't have to feel 'guilty' as long as coffee does not affect their daily life," says Hu. "They may actually benefit from coffee habits in the long run."In other words, consume enough caffeine -- whether it's from coffee or another source -- and you will likely run faster, last longer and be stronger. What's enough? As little as one cup can offer some benefit, but the real impact comes from at least two mugs, says Graham. By comparison, it'd take at least eight glasses of cola to get the same effect, which isn't exactly conducive for running a marathon.

  2. Regular exercise appears to decrease the risk of developing primary breast cancer by 20-40%; but for post-menopausal women, the numbers change to 20-80% reduction in risk. Additionally, for each additional hour per week of exercise, the risk of developing breast cancer decreased by 6%. (So encourage the women in your life who haven't had breast cancer to get moving!)For those of us who have already been diagnosed with breast cancer, physical activity before diagnosis appears to have little effect on breast cancer outcome. In examining the studies, the authors found that intermediate or high physical activity prior to breast cancer diagnosis did not affect breast cancer deaths, but did show some benefit for overall mortality.
