7.5 Quake In Vanuatu So. Pacific Shakes Buildings, Causes Nine-Inch Tsunami Wave

With the recent solar flare up the world witnessed a week ago, we can expect to see an even more increased activity in earthquakes, and  while there have been several significant earthquakes even before and  since last week’s solar tsunami according to Modern Survival Blog,  yet another earthquake, a 7.5 magnitude centered just west of Port Vila, Vanuatu, in the South Pacific occurred today rattling the South Pacific, shaking buildings and bringing power lines down, and causing a nine-inch tsunami wave in Vanuatu.

"It was quite a significant earthquake, and we're still having a few aftershocks," Ben McKenzie of the New Zealand High Commission told The Associated Press by phone from Port Vila.

The quake hit about 25 miles northwest of Port Vila at a depth of 22 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey said. More from Fox News
