Murdered Christian Medical Workers In Afghanistan Were Ambushed

On August 9 2010, it was reported to the world by Continental News that eight Christian medical workers were murdered  by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Today, it is being reported by Newsmax that the murdered  Christian medical workers in Afghanistan  were ambushed and  that one of the gunmen who killed 10 charitable health workers in northern Afghanistan hitched a ride with the medical team shortly before the murders, the sole survivor of the attack told The Associated Press on Saturday.
"They had made a plan, Safiullah said.  "It was a very well organized group.  They had leadership.  They were well-organized.  They were militants." Full story at Newsmax link.
This is a very sad time for the families who lost their loved ones, and I pray that God will give them comfort during this time of their great loss.

With that said, I hope and pray Christian aid and medical  workers are paying attention to this before they go into any muslim area that is openly  hostile to Christians and Christianity,  or any muslim country, where Christians are not wanted and known for persecuting and killing Christians, and heed the warnings of Jesus .
I don’t believe Jesus would have any who belong to him  go into an area where they are not wanted and are openly known to be hostile to Christians and Christianity where it is a well established fact Christians are murdered for the sake of their religion.   It is for this very reason that muslims  who have converted to Christianity in these same countries  live undergound.

We are to be wise as serpents. In fact, Jesus warned in Mark’s Gospel
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake the dust under your feet for a testimony against them.  Verily I say unto you.  It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. Mark 6:11
By shaking the dust under your feet when you depart, the Christian is vividly removing themselves from all connection with those hostile to and are known to have rejected  the Gospel, as well as any responsibility for guilt of rejecting them.

Too many times, we fail to heed the warnings of Jesus by doing what we want to do,  and take matters into our own hands, when it really isn't God's will for our lives,  and fall into disaster.  If the Lord wants these people to be saved, we need to trust Him to do it His way, and in His timing, not ours. While the Christian believes that we lay our lives down so that others might live, based upon our Lord's own words,  I do not believe our Lord would  go against His own written Word of instructions and  warnings written in Mark 6:11 He gave to His people.

These are very deceptive and perilous times we are living in and Christians need to heed the warnings of our Lord.
