President Hosni Mubarak Of Egypt To Step Down

The big breaking  news for today is President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt will step down, sometime Thursday with the Egyptian army promising the protesters all their demands will be met.
An Egyptian army commander, Hassan al-Roweny, told protesters in Cairo's Tahrir Square on Thursday that "Everything you want will be realized," a Reuters witness said.
Roweny addressed protesters from a stage erected in the square, calling on protesters to sing the national anthem and keep Egypt safe.
Reports are coming out in various mainstream media that there is talk among protesters in Cairo that they fear a military coup.

  The plan as of now is President Mubarak, who is reportedly  suffering  from cancer,  will be leaving Egypt soon for Germany for medical reasons.  More here
