Following Jesus

What is following Jesus all about? In today’s post Christian era, many think that if you belong to a mega-church, pastored by a maga-pastor, you’re in. Some think that if you have been baptized into their pentecostal family and speak in tongues, you are following Jesus. Then there are those who think that if you go to Bible College and get a Bible degree, you will be following Jesus. But neither Jesus nor any of His chosen apostles of New Testament Christianity taught any of this.  Following Jesus is not about what you or I do, but more about  what Jesus does through us.

So what does it mean to follow Jesus?

“And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:38-39)

“If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.” (Matthew 16:24)

Suz at Made For Joy understands the message of what following Jesus is  all about. Read the rest of  this short inspirational message of what it means to follow Jesus there.
